Abstract
Nowadays, customer reviews play a vital role in new customer decision-making. When people plan to buy new products, visit new places, or pop in new restaurants, they tend to consult past reviews about them before making their decision. As one can imagine, customer reviews are influenced by various factors, namely: customer satisfaction, the nature of time when service was rendered, the quality of service, product quality, and so on. In order to analyze customer reviews of restaurants, we have decided to develop a data mining project. The focus of the project is to analyze customer reviews on a daily basis. In other words, the project proposes to examine how people write reviews or make comments on the first four days of the week, Friday nights and weekends. Additionally, we will categorize restaurants based on location and look at their reviews on a given day and determine how the location affects customer reviews on that day.
